About Art Therapy

What is Art Therapy?


Art Therapy is the therapeutic use of art making as a form of social and emotional expression. Art therapists foster the healing potential of art in the utilization of specified art materials to help regulate emotional states as well as gain insight into the story behind the art product. Art therapy combines traditional psychotherapy theories and techniques with an understanding of the creative process.  Art therapy can support clients of all ages in addressing challenges such as grief, anxiety, trauma, or life transitions, while also encouraging personal growth, mindfulness, and self-expression. Using materials like paint, clay, collage, or drawing, clients can tap into their inner world, uncover strengths, and develop new ways of coping. Guided by a licensed therapist, the creative process becomes a pathway toward self-understanding, empowerment, and emotional resilience. 


Types of Therapy

Individual Art Therapy

Our individual therapeutic services are designed to help you overcome personal challenges and achieve your goals. A licensed therapist will provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insights into your behavior, and develop strategies for positive change. This can be done through Art Therapy or talk therapy.


Addiction can be a difficult cycle to break, but with the right support and treatment, recovery is possible. Our addiction counselors are here to help you overcome addiction and develop a healthy, fulfilling life in recovery. We offer a variety of evidence-based treatments for addiction.


Relationships are an important part of our lives, but they can also be challenging. We are here to help you and your partner improve communication, build intimacy, and strengthen your relationship.

45 Minute session

New York Supervision (ATR and LCAT)

At Healing with Art Therapy I am a Board Certified and Licensed professional to help you work towards your ATR and New York - LCAT hours with virtual supervision. 


You will receive mentorship, guidance support throughout your journey. 


Weekly or bi-weekly available $70 per hour
